The undersigned Physiotherapist named Pekridou Vasiliki with identity number AK427039, I confirm that I follow all hygiene rules during the physical therapy practice.
More specifically:
Personal hygiene:
As a healthcare professional I wash my hands before, after and if applicable, during treatment. I wear a physiotherapy (medical) gown to each session to prevent my clothes from coming into contact with the patient’s clothes and a protective mask for the health protection of both of us. I wear special shoes inside the place where I work, different from the ones I move outside. In order to ensure the sanitary protection of my patient, my hair is always tied and my nails are always trimmed so that my healing work is not hindered.
Materials
The materials I use, such as gloves and bed paper, are disposable and get changed after each treatment. In addition, I disinfect the bed I use before and after each treatment, and I also clean the treatment room daily. Also, disposable paper is used to cover the patient from the waist down during the treatment, as well as disposable lubricant (e.g. gel), non-allergenic and friendly to the patient’s body for the vaginal evaluation.
Tools
The tools I use are unique to each patient. Where an intrapelvic device needs to be used in treatment, it is given for the exclusive use of the individual patient without reuse on another person. Where an intrapelvic device is used that cannot be given for exclusive use by the patient, a disposable condom is used. Where an epidermal transmitter (e.g. ultrasound) is used, it is extensively cleaned before and after each treatment with a special disinfectant. Where transdermal sensors need to be used (electrodes) placed on the perineum or elsewhere on the body, they are either disposable or each patient has their own.
Personal information
I pledge to keep the personal information I receive from my patient evaluation confidential and to be discreet during the pelvic floor assessment process without embarrassing my patients in any way.
Foreseeable risk
I promise that there is no foreseeable risk involved, as all of the aforementioned actions are non-invasive, side-effect-free pelvic floor assessment methods performed by a licensed Physiotherapist. In case of inability to solve the problem through Physiotherapy, the patient can be referred to another health professional.
