A holistic nutritionist is more than just a person who prescribes meals to increase the vitality and well–being of the body. We are trained to see the body, mind and spirit as a whole, which is the essence of holistic healing. We know that nothing can manifest physically without existing on a mental level.
Good emotional health equals good physical health. We live better, we thrive on what makes us feel good, whether we are aware of it or not. Sometimes the best treatment is not what we can add to our lives, but what we can let go. My job as a holistic nutritionist is to introduce you to new paths of nourishment and wellness in body, mind and spirit.
The term holistic nutrition was invented to describe how our lifestyle, thoughts and habits are linked to the way we eat. Holistic nutrition focuses on the connection of body, mind and spirit and aims to better support and maximize the body‘s innate ability to heal itself. So, when we eat holistically, the sense of well-being becomes present in our lives while we help prevent future diseases.
The basic principles:
- I prefer whole foods over processed ones
- I prefer organic vegetables and ripe seasonal fruits
- Free–range meat, from selected, small farms
- Free-range fish (not farmed)
- Eggs from free-range hens
- Good preparation of cereals, legumes and nuts (soaking)
- Thorough cooking of meat and eggs
- Proper refrigeration, freezing and baking of food
- Frequent check for damage to utensils
- Avoiding non-stick and plastic utensils
- Good, thorough washing of utensils
- I eat in a calm environment, without distractions
- I chew the food very well so that it becomes porridge before swallowing
- I monitor the signs of saturation and stop in time
- I don’t let the body be deprived of food for many hours (unless I’m following fasting protocol or getting sick)
My approach: Embodied Nourishment
We live in a society of “not enough” and “too much”. We don’t have enough of what really nourishes us, and we have too much of what we “think” nourishes us. As a result, we are in deficit and surplus at the same time. And nor “full”, nutritionally cared for. We run with empty stocks. I want to help you unlearn “not quite/much” approach and relearn how to nourish yourself – at the table, at work, in your spiritual life, in your daily activities, and in your relationships. I want you to live a life of caring, not a life of calculation. Love that comes from the inside out, and not from the outside to the inside, is the most powerful medicine in the world.
Nourishment is everywhere.
Imagine what life could be like when you feel full and satisfied, at peace with yourself and your home, your reliable body.
It‘s such an enjoyable lifestyle!
The Embodied Nourishment approach is based on empowerment & inclusivity. It is personalized and properly designed for your own physical, mental and spiritual nutritional needs.
